TYPES OF TOURISM IN PAKISTAN



Religious tourism
Pakistan is famous for the temples of the great figures of the religious world. There are many places of attraction in Pakistan by Hindus, Buddhists and Sikhs. Gurdwaras in Nankana Shib Hasanabdal and are a great attraction for Sikhs worldwide. Then there are the Sufi shrines and saints, which attracts large number of pilgrims from different regions. These include the Sanctuary of Ganja Given Baksh, Hussain Shah, the main Mir, Baba Farid Zakaria and Bahauddin in Punjab Lal Shahbaz Qalander and Shah Abdul Latif Bhatti and Sindh. Besides these Kalash people in Chitral attract a number of Greeks and other foreigners.
Archaeological tourism
Pakistan is the birthplace of two ancient civilizations - the Indus Valley Civilization and Gandhara civilization. In particular, the excavations of the Gandhara civilization is one of the oldest remains of Buddhist culture in Asia and are particularly important for the Buddhist spiritual life in the wealthier regions of East and Southeast Asia. Then there are the monuments built by successive dynasties and rulers, especially the Mughals. These include Fort Royal Badashahi Mosque, Shalimar Garden, the tombs of Emperor Jahangir and Empress Noor Jahan, Rohtas fort and mosque of Shah Jahan.
Adventure Tourism
Pakistan has some of the highest mountains in the world in a knot of four great mountain ranges, the Hindukush, Pamir, Karakoram and Himalaya. The country has the distinction of having five peaks over 8000 meters each, including the highest mountain in the second K-2. The country has large glaciers in the world out side of the polar region. These mountains and glaciers offer attractions for great adventures.
Conventional tourism
This form of tourism includes festivals, sports, customs, traditions and crafts. Among the festival of Basant is probably the most popular form of international tourism prospective place in February-March to announce the spring, Basant attract many foreign tourists. Festivals of Kalash tribe or Chilim-Jusht Joshi, Uchal or Chitirmus Chaus pool and also attracts tourists.
